From yoghurt to sauerkraut, kefir to kimchi, explore the history and variety of gut friendly food! Learn how to ferment, culture, care for and create fermented vegetables at home. Ingredients and techniques will be discussed in detail as you create your very own batch of sauerkraut AND kimchi, plus our step-by-step recipes. This community course is ideal for beginners, an introduction to fermented food and includes course notes, equipment use, ingredients and catering. Join us for our hands-on community workshop for some fermenting fun

What’s Included:
- Overview of the lacto-fermentation process.
- Fermentation safety (monitoring advice/tips).
- Equipment discussion (we provide equipment and gloves to use at the class) including basic equipment required and other equipment that makes bigger/bulk fermenting quicker/easier.
- Hands-on fermenting: German-Style Sauerkraut (with customised options for you to try in class and included in the notes).
-Hands-on fermenting: Korean-Style Kimchi (plus showing you other Korean-style fermented vegetables you can make at home with the same technique you will learn).
- Ingredients to use in the class to make your ferments.
- Printed course notes with recipes, tips, links and other fermented recipe recommendations.
- Plus tea, coffee and catering (savoury kimchi pancakes with lots of toppings for lunch)

Unfortunately due to the nature of this hands on class, we're only able to accomadate 18yrs+
