If you've ever wanted to try making your own pasta from scratch but find the idea daunting, then this is the perfect class for you. Once you see how easy and fun it is, you'll never go back!
Semola Pasta or "Water and Flour" pasta is the perfect type of pasta dough to make when starting out on your pasta journey. It is very easy, lends itself to making a huge array of hand rolled shapes - the majority of which don't require any special equipment. It also contains no eggs, so its suitable for vegans! That's right, vegan pasta!
In this hands on cooking workshop, you will have the opportunity to make your own semola pasta dough, as well as a number of different shapes plus two different sauces to pair with your pasta. You will prepare your own pasta and prepare the sauces as a group.
In addition to preparing the above items, you will learn about the right type of flour to use and where to buy it, drying and freezing pasta, and there will be a demonstration of 'trickier' shapes that you can practice at home.
Also included in this workshop:
If you've never made pasta from scratch before, this is a great chance to have a go with a dough that is actually a lot easier than egg pasta, that you can make lots of fun shapes with.
