Let your imagination run wild as you learn the basics of this beautiful ancient art. You will learn how to work with clay using various hand building techniques, decorating and under-glazing techniques. You will create and complete a travel mug (and one other item if time permits) to take home once final glazing and firing has been completed.
In this 3-hour session all tools, clay and glazes are provided for you to make roughly 3 items. Class also includes morning tea, bisque, food safe glazing and kiln firing for your masterpiece.
This event is suitable for adults 18 years and over.

Pottery is one of the oldest of the handcrafts and a beautifully meditative process. This workshop is perfect for:

1. Those wanting to try this ancient art,
2. A thoughtful birthday gift to give, or enjoy together,
3. Friend’s catchup (grab a friend and enjoy learning something new).

Additional T&C’s
Finished pottery will take four to six weeks to be ready for collection. This allows two weeks for items to dry plus bisque firing, clear glazing & glaze firing.

Note: Please be aware that the nature of pottery is a delicate one, and occasionally a piece will break or crack in the kiln. We always do our best to ensure your pieces arrives intact, however, a refund cannot be offered.

What to bring:
Clay washes out easily, but please bring comfortable clothing and footwear. Short fingernails are a must as nails will make marks on your artwork.
